Reviews and the Reviewers

Reviews --

The Capital Scot solicits information about the book and its author.  To meet this site's readers' expectations, information about the book must be more than a blurb that one typically would find on a bookseller's Web site.  It should contain excerpts from the book that portray its character.

Reviewers --

Reviews are accepted at this time only from authors and publishers of the books being reviewed, and participants in the Scottish Literary Forum.

Other Contributors --

Reviews by by other persons are not being accepted at this time.

Terms

Cost --

There is no cost for the publicity provided by a review being published on The Capital Scot. This is a free service and is part of the daily operation of the site known as The Capital Scot.

Courtesy Copies --

Because this is a free service The Capital Scot does not require, courtesy copies of books. However, they will be accepted if offered. Authors and publishers desiring to provide courtesy copies may for a mailing address.

Guidelines

Book reviews shall meet the standards for content, "Safe for Kids" and privacy outlined below.

The Capital Scot accepts reviews of books that meet the following criteria for content:

The Capital Scot rates itself "Safe for Kids" with parental guidance. The Capital Scot does NOT use profanity or vulgarity.

Submission of a Book Review --

The submitter may send the review in the body of en e-mail or in a text attachment. The submitter must include the information required by the format, discussed below, and the following statements: "I certify that the following information is true:
